This body of work is about remembering and forgetting. It is about those shadowy moments creeping up on you that feel as if the past could be repeating itself. It is the losses and gains, the ebb and flows, the shadows of these moments as they pass over us that gives us our identity and allows us to be who we truly are. These pieces speak about the common everyday occurrences that make all our lives universally similar.
A series originally began for a solo exhibition at Nashville's Smallest Art Gallery, the work contains images from a set of photographs documenting a woman traveling alone across Europe and Asia in the 1960s. Each piece contains archival digital printing with mixed media drawing on top.
